We look to see if the baby’s head is down, at the placenta and the amount of amniotic fluid. If your baby’s head is up (breech presentation), we can (if you want) make an appointment for you at the hospital to try to turn the baby around. This is called an external version. If this applies to your baby, the midwife will discuss this possibility in detail with you.
